A Time To Be Born…
Rev. Lovard W. Walker was born November 20, 1934, to the lineage of Rev. Givings and Dorothy Walker in Waco, Texas. To this union 4 children were born.
A Time For Learning…
Rev. Walker attended, South Waco Elementary, and A. J. Morehouse High, also in Waco, Texas. He attended William Barber College after returning from the United States Army. He attended Tarrent County Jr. College, Fort Worth. The bible states “Study to Show thyself approved unto God.” and answering the call from the Master he attended Southwestern Theological Seminary.
A Time to Work and Serve…
The Rank of Pvt-2 May 1957 was bestowed in Amarillo, Texas and became a skilled sharpshooter, stationed later in Presidio of San Francisco, California.
After returning to Fort Worth he became a truck driver working for Huffenbach Pharmacuetical Company and later joined and Eagle Plywood Lumber Company.. Supervised by Gary Rawlings.

Rev. Walker loved to sing and enjoyed Gospel Music
A Time For Love…
Walker (affectionately called) was married to Nannie Mae Walker for 52 years and to this union 5 children were born, 2 who preceded him in death Paula Ruth Walker, Marion Jones.
In 2006 Rev. Walker married Carolyn Sneed and she remained by his side until his death.
A Time For GOD…
His walk with GOD began at a very early age. Rev. Lovard W. Walker accepted the call and served as Assistant Pastor under the toot ledge of his father Rev. Givings W. Walker until his death and immediately accepted the call of pastor for the New Bethel Baptist Church in Howard, Texas. Rev. Walker later accepted the call to Bibleway Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas under Reverend Williams until his death and then after accepting the call to pastorage he served where he for 22 years until his death.
A Time To Die…
Reverend Lovard W. Walker departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 4:00 a.m. just before the break of day after answering the Master’s call, the holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., singing and praying with arm stretched out.
Rev. Walker was met on Monday by his father and mother, his brother Howard Walker, twin sisters Billie Walker Hamilton and Bobbie Anderson.

This gentle, songster, GOD fearing man leaves a permanent mark on our hearts, a life well spent and loving heart, His love and caretaker, Carolyn Sneed-Walker; his children, Loutisha Ann Simmons,
Sharion Lusk, Lovard Odell Walker, Jr. (Sharon); also, Christi Moore (Donald), Sonja Jacobs (James); 2 step-children – Jamie Nero, Otha Holley, 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, Special Friends, Dr. William D. McNealy, Rev. Elmo Neal, Bro. Bill Franklin, Rev. P. R. and First Lady Anita Jackson, George Jackson and wife, Dr. G. L. and First Lady Debra Durham, Bro. Dean and Diane Menkins, Mr. Michael Davis and Mother Freddie, Mr. Gary Howard and Mrs. Betty Giddings. Special Nieces and Nephews, Wanda Williams, Denice Benton, and Gary Rawlings and Vicki Dunn Anderson.
