Ralph Geiger was the 5th child born to Leeper and Elnora Geiger, on July 8, 1947 in Lockesburg, Arkansas. The Geiger family moved to Texas in the mid 1950’s where he attended Dunbar Elementary, Dunbar Middle, I.M. Terrell and Kirkpatrick High Schools. After graduating from T.C.U continuing education, Ralph went from driving trucks to becoming a master plumber where he worked for Automatic Sprinklers for 20 plus years. After which, he went on to become a self-employed independent contractor performing jobs great and small all over the DFW metroplex. Ralph accepted Christ at an early age and became an ordained deacon at Samaria Baptist Church where he was a member under the leadership of Sr Pastor McKinley Jackson. It was in 1962 on the Southside of Fort Worth that Ralph met the love of his life and childhood sweetheart Geneice Hutchinson. They married on February 3, 1968 and to this union 6 children were born. Ralph had a love for karate and spending time with family and friends and living life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his son Ralph Jr, parents Leeper and Elnora Geiger, brothers Harold Deloney and Willie Geiger and sister Joyce Harper. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Chiffon Bean (Mike), LaTanya Knight (Charles), Carla Anderson (Ricky), Sakena Taylor (Danny) and Osaze Geiger (Raychel), 3 brothers Leon, Donnie and Billy and 2 sisters: Lillie Hoyle and Ruthie Jean Mosley; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
