Pho was born October 20, 1926 in Bui Chu, Vietnam to the late Dinh Viet Doan and Dinh Thi Cai. As a child, Pho was educated and raised by his grandfather, Dinh Viet Tac. In 1947, Pho married his wife of 61 years, Nguyen Thi Sa. Pho played several roles to protect his village during the Vietnam war where he was to be imprisoned and separated from his family. During the Fall of Saigon in 1975, Pho managed to escape Vietnam, by boat, with his 14 member family. After being relocated to numerous refugee camps, Pho and his family were sponsored by Catholic Charities in Fort Worth, Texas where they began their new life.
Pho worked hard as a carpenter and manufacturer to support his large family in America. In retirement, he continued to be devoted to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where he always helped support the parish community. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, and receiving the never-ending love from his family.
He will be greatly missed.
