ARLINGTON -- On Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, Dr. Peggy J. Cook died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Arlington.
Funeral: Noon Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 11 a.m. Monday.
She was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Mississippi. She held a Ph.D. in counseling from the University of North Texas and had an accomplished career. She had a love for roses, special needs cats, dancing and Elvis Presley. Peggy never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Cook.
Survivors: Brother, Rodgers Coffing of Louisiana; sister, Daisy Walling of Bandera; son, Paul Cook and wife, Cleo; son, Monte Cook and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Carol Doss and husband, Roger; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
