Pat was born July 30, 1942 to Carrol and Rita McDaniel in Gainesville, TX. She grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Poly High school. Later, she attended TCJC and received her degree in nursing to become an RN.
Pat married the love of her life, Carl Payne on October 11, 1958. They had one son. After Carl’s death in 1992, she met and married her new love, Bob Raines on September 9, 1995. She became the loving mother of Bob’s three grown children.
Pat absolutely loved her career as an Orthopedic Surgical Nurse for 30 years. After she retired, she volunteered at the Pregnancy Help Center of Fort Worth doing sonograms up until her passing.
She was very passionate about her family which always came first for her. She was a wise, caring, kind lady that lived her faith in God. Travel was another love of hers. She travelled extensively around the world - first with Carl, then with Bob, and later with her children. She was always active outdoors enjoying her gardening and anything else she could do outside. Wherever she went she lit up the room with her warm smile and quick wit. She was taken from us way too soon.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Carrol and Rita McDaniel, her husband Carl, her husband Bob, her granddaughter Cathryne, her brother Clark and her sister Rebecca.
She was survived by her son Michael and wife Caryn of Burleson; daughter Cyndi Cullen and husband Jim of Burleson, son Steve Raines and wife Cindy of Fort Worth, daughter Jewell Moore of Weatherford. Sisters Sally McCall of Fort Worth, Judy Ellis and husband Charles of Morgan. Brother-in-laws Verlin Payne and wife Debbie of Burleson, Terry Raines and wife Barbara of College Station. Grandson Matthew Payne and fiancé Madison of Crowley; grandsons Jason Raines and wife Brittany of Lufkin, Jeremy Raines of Fort Worth, Josh Raines and wife Christine of Burleson, Sean Moore of Weatherford; and granddaughters Julie Hencke and husband Brad of Fort Worth, Lindee Pyle and husband Landon of Eden, Gennie Bullock and husband Boston of Weatherford. Ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 18 in the Chapel at Laurel Land Funeral Home at 2:00 pm; 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134. Visitation will be Monday, October 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
