Our beloved mom, Patricia Ann Perkins, left this world for her heavenly home on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the age of 88. She was the heart of our family and if you knew her, you knew how important family was to her. She loved to go camping and fishing with her family and even loved the beach and traveling. In her spare time, she painted, made flower arrangements, designed greeting cards and loved to read. Her favorite thing to do, however, was spending time with family and friends over dinner, going to the movies and playing board and card games.
She was born July 21,1936 in Windom, TX to Jessie and Nancy Fleming. She was the youngest of nine brothers and sister. She worked in the office for Pangburn’s Candy, Williams-Dickies, Service Marketing and worked security for Motorola. While working at Pangburn’s she met her beloved husband, Leon. They were married for 33 years before his passing in 1992.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and memories. She is survived by her son, Terry and daughter-in-law Betty Perkins, daughter Becky and son-in-law Brian Whitenack, son Alan and daughter-in-law Kim Perkins. Her loving grandkids, April Watters, Greg Perkins, Kasey Whitenack and Alexander Perkins, along with numerous great-grand kids, nieces and nephews will all deeply miss her love and encouragement.
She is welcomed to her heavenly home by her husband, Leon Perkins, Parents, Jessie and Nancy Fleming, all her brothers and sisters and their spouses. Family visitation is Saturday, December 21, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Her Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 pm, followed by grave-site service. Family and friends are invited to a reception in her honor afterwards at Laurel Land.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, TX.
Throughout her life she was known as Pat, Patricia, Mom, Grandma, Grammie and Nana. Regardless of her name, we will all miss her smile, her laughter, her independence, her fight and her determination to survive numerous health issues over the years. Most of all we’ll miss the love that she had for each of us. We find peace in knowing that she’s now smiling down on us!
