Pastor Floyd Moore Jr. was born on April 8, 1940, to Floyd Moore Sr. and Lillie Bell Dorsey Moore in Crowell, Texas. As a young man, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he met his loving wife of 58 years, Francis Warren Moore. To this union, four beautiful daughters were born: Pamela, Melanie, Dana, and Natalie.
After surrendering his life to God, Pastor Moore began to live as a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. He served as a devoted deacon and bible teacher until thereafter, answering the call of God to preach the gospel as an ordained minister. For over 20 years he faithfully as the founding pastor of Word of Life Bible Fellowship located in Fort Worth, Texas, where he served the people of God with an unwavering commitment to the redeeming salvation of Jesus Christ.
He always said that while he retired from Pastoring, he was always a Minister of God's Word. He took his ministry very seriously. He was ever a light to anyone he met and encouraged those who God placed in his path. He believed in teaching wisdom and the importance of doing the right thing. This extended not only to his children and grandchildren, but also to the members of his church, young people who worked for his landscaping business, and the homeless he ran across. He believed in the worth of each and every one. He was the heartbeat of his family and he will be eternally missed.
Pastor Moore worked at General Motors Corporation for 30 years, retiring October 1, 1997. He was a member of the General Motors UAW Local 276. While working at General Motors he participated in the coordination and teaching of weekly bible studies. He was an alum of Southern Bible Institute and College of Dallas, Texas where he diligently studied the Word of God.
Pastor Floyd Moore Jr. went peacefully into eternal life to be with God, his Creator, on December 7, 2019. We know that he is rejoicing with his loved ones and fellow saints, as he is welcomed into the open arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Saviour. He leaves a legacy of wisdom and love for every life he touched.
“I have fought a good fight I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not me only, but unto to all them also that love his appearing.”

Pastor Moore leaves cherished memories with his wife Francis Moore, daughters Melanie Colson (Chaucer), Dana Murrell (Patrick), and Natalie Moore. He also leaves special memories with Del Moore (brother), and Patsy Coleman (sister). He was a proud Pawpaw to 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, a respected uncle to many nieces and nephews, and left a lasting impact on a host of many other relatives, friends, and church family.
