Olga Valdes Garcia beloved wife, mother and grandmother went into her Heavenly Father's arms on December 10, 2016. She was born on April, 1st 1927, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Ciro Valdes and Francisca Garcia. She was the youngest of eight siblings. At the age of 29 she had the experience of a lifetime as she traveled for nine months to Europe with her oldest sister. The memories of that trip stayed vividly in her heart forever. A year after, she met and married Leonardo E. Garcia leaving behind her family and friends in Mexico, to begin a new life in San Antonio, Texas. Olga was blessed with three children. In 1975 Olga and her family moved to Fort Worth. She became a member of St Rita's Catholic Church as she guided her children in a strong faith in Christ. During her 41 years at St. Rita's she belonged to the Altar Society, Garden Club, as well as being a devoted member of a ladies rosary group that became her closest friends. In her last years she enjoyed attending the Senior luncheons. Olga never met a stranger and always had an incredible warm smile as she pleasantly greeted everyone. She loved plants and flowers, as well as cooking, eating, and parties. Her birthday was the highlight of her year as she loved to celebrate and dance with her family and friends. Her warm hospitable heart will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Garcia and son Leonardo A. Garcia. Survivors: daughter, Olga Kyser and husband David, son, Ricardo Garcia. Granddaughters, Shelby B. Garcia and Alexandra N. Kyser.
