Nelda was born in Wills Point to parents, Rufus Thompson and Vera Groom Thompson, on March 12, 1935. She met the love of her life, J.L. Worth, and they were married 61 years. Nelda loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, shopping, knitting and antiquing. Nelda worked as a CNA for Broadway Plaza for 12 years and loved caring for people.
