Tommie J. Watkins passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Sweet Home Baptist Church, the Rev. James Brown, gracious host, the Rev. Arthur Edwards, eulogist. Interment: The Garden of Hope in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: Noon to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors. Survivors: Her beloved husband, the Rev. L.W. Watkins; children, Keith Whitehead, Cheryl Montgomery (Willie), Cassandra Edwards; sister, Tommie Dell Marion (George); three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
