Monique Elaine Smith was born June 29th, 1994, to her loving mother, Erica Gipson.
Monique was warmly welcomed by her sister Jazmine Gipson, and brother Jamar Gipson. She then became part of the welcoming committee and welcomed her brothers Eric Gipson and Jeremiah Gipson.
Monique attended school in FWISD and graduated from Lamar High School. She furthered her education and received her certification in Phlebotomy in Arlington, TX.
At an early age, Monique accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and she knew Jesus loved her. She loved gospel music and would often sing her rendition of songs by her favorite artists Yolanda Adams and Tasha Cobbs Leonard. Monique was a very loving child who grew up spreading that same love to and for others. Her love for people led her to become a caregiver at Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living in Arlington, Texas.
Monique was full of life and loved being a mother to her son Camereon Deshaun Foster, whom she was his number one fan and cheerleader as he played basketball. She later met, loved, and married Jorrell Dreyon Glenn on February 6th, 2022, and to this union, a son was born, King Jason Glenn. She enjoyed outside activities in the park, playing volleyball as well as spending time with family and friends. She was an avid shopper and loved cooking for her family and redecorating the house.
On Thursday, January 25th, 2024, Monique Elaine Smith left this life and transitioned into the arms of Jesus, the one she knew loved her most. She was preceded in death by her husband Dreyon Glenn; sister, MaKayla Smith, grandparents Ernest Craig and Gwendolyn Nealey, great-grandmothers Connie Spriggs, Deborah Rowe, and Laura Jean Hales; a cousin Edward Cooper. Left to cherish her legacy and endless love are her children, sons Camereon Deshaun Foster, and King Jason Glenn, and daughter, Kamariyah (Kay Kay) Davis. Her mother, Erica Gipson (Will), sister Jazmine Gipson, and 3 brothers Jamar, Eric, and Jeremiah Gipson. Uncles, Craig Gipson Nealey (LaTonya), and Habeeb Aliyu; Aunt, Jennifer Gipson, and Special grandmothers Stephanie Phillips and Betty Greene. Nieces, nephews, and a host of family, friends, and mentor Edgar Smith.
