Milton A Bass Jr, 77, a loving husband, gentle father, a great papaw, and caring friend passed away Sunday, August 28. Milton was born on December 25, 1938 in Abilene, TX to Milton and Mamie Ruth Bass. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, David Bass Jr, and sister-in-law, Sue Kauitzsch. He was a camper and fisherman, dropping almost anything to have an opportunity to go camping. Milton joined the Navy reserve when only 17 and was called to active duty in 1960. Serving till March 1962, he saw Puerto Rico and the Antarctica as duty ports. Milton became a “telephone man” in 1962, having worked for SWBT, GTE, Rolm, IBM, and retired from Seimens in 1993. He started his own company and still managing upon his death. Survivors; Wife of 57 years, Judy; children Barry Bass and Melissa Frazier; grand-children, Danielle Frazier, Alex Bass, and Brady Frazier; extended family, Brad Frazier, Jeremy Miles and sons Kayson and Kaleb Miles.
