Mike Wooldridge

Memorial service: A service of celebration and remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at Northside Church of the Nazarene, 6750 Denton Highway, Fort Worth, with Jerry Tucker, a family friend, officiating. Mike's remains will be cremated and held by the family in loving memory.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Mike requests that donations be made to the Rev. Clifton Wooldridge Memorial Scholarship Fund, research at Texas Oncology or a place of worship of the donor's choice.

Mike was born to Charlene and Marvin Wooldridge on March 31, 1953, in Big Spring. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 1975 with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in political science. He had a career in customer service for the past several years with Sprint. Mike enjoyed family and friends and made lifelong friends. Mike was a great story and joke teller with an excellent memory. He was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed helping with the sound and computer systems.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Mary.

Survivors: Parents, Charlene and Marvin Wooldridge of Abilene; sister, Sandra Dickerson and husband, Brian, of Arlington; sister, Shauni Vaughn and husband, Tommy, of Abilene; nephews, Nathan Dickerson of Arlington, Cole Vaughn of Denton and Clay Vaughn of Lubbock; and niece, Katy Vaughn of Abilene.
