On August 17, 1931 Mary Jean Lang was born the second child of Johnnie B and Almetia Lang in Frankston, Tx-Anderson county. She attended George Washington Carver school.
Mary married LV Stevenson in 1947. Their union lasted 66 yrs . Mary was a lifelong Christian . She joined the Potter House in 2000 and remained faithful until her transition. She was preceded in death by her husband LV Stevenson, sons Harold and Leon Stevenson. Two son in laws Ray Spriggs and Jesse Miller Jr. Her parents , brother Johnny B Lang and sisters Della Mae Locke, Freddie Perry and Merlene.
Those left to cherish her memories are Sister Essie B. Sowells, son Jerry (Gloria) Stevenson; daughters Val Miller and Almetia Spriggs; 14 grandchildren ; 28 great grandchildren; and a host
of nephews, nieces , other friends and relatives
