Mary Belle Coe has happily relocated again, this time to her eternal home in heaven to live with Jesus and all of those loved ones who have gone before her. Mary Belle passed peacefully from this life on October 18, 2024 in Burleson TX.
She was born on April 29, 1929, in Wagoner, OK., to Homer and Jeanie Schock. She proceeded to live her years in Missouri, Arizona, and finally Texas. Mary Belle loved growing up in Kansas City MO, near many of her Scottish relatives. She graduated in 1946 from Central High School in Kansas City. Her work life began and ended at Sears & Roebuck. It was there she met the love of her life, Bob Coe. They married in 1951 and raised their 2 spectacular children, Janet and Jim, in Independence, MO. Mary Belle spent a few years volunteering at the Independence Sanitarium Hospital in the gift shop. She was famous for her applesauce, knitted dishcloths, her great laugh, and the ability to make friends quickly and remember all their details. Mary Belle and Bob blended well in their 61 years of marriage. With many friends, they played cards and traveled around the world and in the U.S. with their 5th wheel trailer. They especially loved and supported their family and were the best grandparents around.
Mary Belle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert F. Coe, and her brother James H. Schock.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Hammond (Wayne) of Alvarado, TX and her son James J. Coe (Kim) of Buckeye, AZ. She leaves 5 grandchildren missing her greatly – Jason Hammond of Phoenix, AZ; Valerie Hammond of Nashville, TN; Tim Hammond (Sarah) of Belton, TX; Beth Cadaret (Bill) of Clover, SC; and Caren Coe of Chandler, AZ. Mary Belle leaves 7 great grandchildren to carry on the memories.
The family is so grateful for the love and care she received during her last few years at Fleurdleys Assisted Living in Ft. Worth TX.
A memorial service will be held at Burleson Bible Church on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10am.
