Marlin Williams

Marlin was born October 3rd, 1935 in Blum, Texas, he was one of 13 children born to Newt & Ellen Lou (Porter) Williams. As a young man he was raised on Hall Street in Hillsboro, Texas and worked various jobs.

On February 4th, 1959 Marlin married Mae Bell Shrader in Hill Co. and to this union brought forth 4 children. He had a long career with Harbison-Fisher Manufacturing as a machinist, and retired after 35 years of service.

Throughout his life, Marlin loved running, he would often be seen out running in his neighborhood and down to his favorite park. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and will be remembered with love and appreciation, as he was a devoted father, grandfather and uncle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Newt & Ellen (Porter) Williams, wife Mae Bell Williams, Diana Lynn and 12 brothers and sisters.

Marlin is survived by his children, Barbara Thomas and husband Rick of N. Richland Hills, Wayne Williams of Ft. Worth, Karen Williams, and Pam Williams of Valley Mills. Grandchildren Timothy McMurray and wife Stephanie of Washington, Kaitlyn Thomas, two great grandchildren, Griffing & Everly, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Marlin will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, officiated by Reverend Stephen Daywitt.
