Marion Franklin Thomas

Marion Franklin “Frank” Thomas, 87, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away April 9, 2018. He was born in Weatherford, Texas on October 21, 1930 to James Frank Thomas and Estella Alta Thomas. Frank received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Civil Engineering from The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas in 1951, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1969. He was married to Jeanne Alice Parrott on September 14, 1951. They had two children, Deborah and Steven. Frank had a career in aircraft engineering for 37 years at General Dynamics. He was a member of Rosemont Church of Christ and later on Southside Church of Christ. He had a life-long love for music, as well as fishing, golfing, and lapidary arts at different times in his life. He is survived by his son Steve Thomas, and two grandchildren, Bethany Thomas and Evan Crawford. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 2-5 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas in the Main Chapel.
