Mrs. Marie Latham Loar

Marie was born in Delhi, LA, on August 24, 1928, to Louis T. and Stella Latham. She graduated from Bardwell High School in Bardwell, TX 1947.

Marie married the late Robert R. Loar in March 1969. The couple were married for 33 years. She was a member of Birchman Baptist Church. She enjoyed her beloved friends and dear sister Jean for taking such good care of her after her husband died in 2002. She loved her Sunday school class, church and traveling in their motorhome to every state except North and South Dakota.

Marie went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas in 1947, and worked there till she moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1958. She went to work for the Fort Worth National Bank in 1958 and worked till she married Robert Loar in 1969.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Loar, mother Stella Latham, step-daughter Pam Berg, brother Louis Latham, and sister Dorothy Ruth Latham Riddle. She is survived by one sister, Irma Jean Norman of Fort Worth, Texas and stepdaughter Linda Sue Cogburn, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She loved everybody she met and she let you know it too. She leaves her friends MaryLou F., Deloris Womack, Barbara William, Adessa M. and her dear loving friends Kelly Brown, Elizabeth Garrett and Deborah Pearle who were at her side when she called them.

Marie lived her life for the Lord and her church. Marie wants to be remembered by the love she showed everyone. Her Sunday school class was her greatest love. She loved her Sunday school teachers, including Annette Hill and Rachel Davenport.

A visitation for Marie will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 N. Normandale, Fort Worth, TX 76116. A committal service will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at 9651 - Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 9100 N Normandale, Fort Worth, TX 76116.
