Mansel, known as M.G. to some, was born in Duffau Texas on August 17,1940, to Grace Eliza, and Clarence Blueford Madden. Mansel passed away peacefully at his home in Cross Timbers Tx. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the age of 83.
M.G. was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served early in life before his 34 year career at the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
He was preceded in death by his mother Grace, father Clarence, granddaughter Taylor Bradshaw, and his wife of 26 years, Cynthia Madden.
Mansel is survived by his siblings, Wannell Jenkins, Marshall Madden, and Peggy Harkins. His children: daughter Diane Bradshaw, Todd Bradshaw, son Gregg Madden and Gregg’s wife Stephanie. His good friend, LaShann Daniels. Grandchildren: Brittany Rogers and Husband David, Nicole Madden and partner Diana, Sierra Henderson and husband Brannon, along with Trinity Bradshaw, Riley Davis and Taylor Haddox. He has numerous great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, along with several great, great nephews and nieces as well.
Mansel was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, pappu, pop, dad, friend and God fearing man who will be greatly missed by many.
Services for Mansel Madden will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, in the Chapel of the Chimes.
Visitation- Tuesday April 30, 2024, 6-8 p.m.
Funeral Service- Wednesday May 1, 2024, 1:00 pm
Burial immediately following funeral services @ Union Hill Cemetery (contingent on weather)
Reception following services @ Cross Timbers Baptist Church
