Maggie was born on May 13, 1925, in Pilot Point, Texas to Robert and Zola Tidwell Lolley. She was the youngest of their 10 children having seven older brothers and two older sisters. She would spend her younger years around the Fort Worth area and attend school in the Rosemont area. Maggie would find work at the Paris Coffee Shop at the age of 14. She would then work at Montgomery Wards for some years until she took over the management of B and L Liquor Store on Jacksboro Highway, which she operated for nearly 50 years along with her partner and companion, Bill Boyd.
Maggie loved people and loved hosting holidays. She enjoyed watching game shows on television like Let’s Make A Deal and the Price is Right, as well as the “Judge” shows. She enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo, and worked many crossword puzzles and word searches. She was a Texas Ranger fan and loved watching their games.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zola Lolley, her companion for 53 years, Bill Boyd, siblings, Earl Lolley, Clint Lolley, Dee Lolley, Clyde Lolley, Bishop Lolley, Robert Lolley, Joe Lolley, Alta Lolley, and Artie Qualls, 3 nephews, George, Dalton, and Bill, and 2 nieces, Sue and Sharon.
Those who remain to cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her nieces, Sandra, Connie, Mary, Jane, Linda, Bishene and Robbie, nephew, Wayne, many great nieces, nephews, extended family members and her very dear friends, Alma Cervantes and Rhonda Angel.
A visitation for Maggie will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at The Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76134. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at the same location.
