Lee and Virginia were introduced by mutual friends in 1997, falling deeply in love after both suffered the loss of long time spouses.
Lee had a quiet spirit and open arms full of love and compassion for all that knew him, even strangers. Lee and Virginia shared their love for God and family. They enjoyed traveling the United States together, spending summers in Colorado Springs, Colorado with family. They would travel from Alaska to Florida and states in between in their motor home, always taking time to “smell the roses”. They lived their life together as though the honeymoon never ended.
Port Aransas played an integral part in the Chandler family history, going fishing in Port A every year since 1939. This love of fishing blossomed into a houseboat on Lake Whitney where Lee holds the record for the largest Striper caught. He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball and golf, reading Louis L’amour novels and RV-ing.
