Larry E. Voigt passed away December 13th, 2021 at the age of 77 in North Richland Hills Texas. Though he battled cancer for 9 years, he never faltered or gave up faith. Despite all he fought he continued to take care and provide for his family with a loving selfless spirit.
Larry was raised in the city of Mt.Carmel Illinois where the Golden Aces reigned. After graduation he went to the Wabash community college before enlisting into the military. He served honorably in the United Stated Air Force, stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war. He was an exceptional baseball player and was apart of the Air Force World Wide softball team.
Raised in the free Methodist church is where he began his love for God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. Larry served the Lord with a servants heart. He was a prayer warrior and could comfort anyone in a time of need.
Larry married the love of his life, Jane Sager, on May 28th, 1966. They located in Fort Worth Texas in 1969. This is where he began his family and attended the Gospel assembly church. He retired as a logistics engineer at Lockheed Martin. The love he showed for his wife and children, and later grandson was unmeasurable.
Larry was one of the strongest men around. He was honorable, honest, dependent and a role model to those who knew him. A hero to his family and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father James H. Voigt, mother Golda L. Dixon, and sister Joann Voigt. He is survived by his wife Jane Sager Voigt Son and daughter in law Brian and Claudia Voigt. His daughter Ashley Voigt and Grandson Matthew Voigt. Brother James L. Voigt and sister Sally Ann Voigt.
