Kenneth was born September 27, 1935 in San Antonio to Hugh Gibson and Mary E. Lazarie. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Gibson; children, Debbie McCarter of San Antonio and David Gibson and his wife Patti of Dallas; grandchildren, Greg McCarter and his wife Marilee, Brian McCarter and Amy Gibson; great-grandchildren, Noah and Abbott McCarter; brother, Gordon Gibson and his wife Mary Ann; sister Dolores Coffey and husband Michael and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his son, Gary Gibson; his father, Hugh Gibson; and his mother, Mary E. Lazarie.
