Kelene Kay Steglich, (59), passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday April 12th, 2022, in Fort Worth, TX. With friends and family by her side, Kelly is now free from pain and has been reunited at the gates of Heaven with her beloved late parents Bob and Dorothy Drew. She was high school sweetheart and wife of William Paul Steglich. They shared 37 years of a loving marriage together.
Born on November 8th, 1962, in Duluth, Minnesota, she was adopted along with her sister Lisa by her loving parents Robert and Dorothy Drew.
She is survived by her husband; Bill, her sons; Corey and Colton, and sister; Lisa. Including her daughter in laws; Connie and Lianna, and grandchildren; Charley and Cruze.
Kelly and her husband Bill met at Coon Rapids High School and were married on September 21st, 1984. After graduating from high school in 1981 she began attending Horst Cosmetology School where she graduated in 1982 and became a fulltime cosmetologist.
Bill and Kelly moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1984 where they raised a family with their 2 sons Corey and Colton.
Kelly was a strong, loving, Christian woman who loved nothing more then spending time with her granddaughters. Raising not only her 2 sons but all of their friends that would spend time at their residence she was a caretaker to everyone she came across. With a charismatic personality and enthusiasm for life she set an example for her family on how to wake up each day with a positive mindset and how to treat one another. The strength she showed through the adversity in her life and wisdom will forever be carried on in her honor. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her the most.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 30th, 2022, at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm and is open to all friends and family.
