Kay Lee Smith

Kay graduated from Pascal High School in 1956, and attended Texas Tech University, earning a bachelor degree in 1959 Kay was married to Hugh Smith on September 4,1959 in Ft Worth Texas. They were married 55 years before his passing on March 24,2015 She was a homemaker and high school Spanish teacher at Joshua High School and Blum High School Kay had a passion for being a wife and mother. She also enjoyed teaching , and traveling the world with her husband, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James E Smith and Hazel Newman Smith, brother James E “Buster “ Smith, husband Hugh Smith and son Gary Lynn Smith Survived by her brother Charlie Smith, son Mike wife Teri Smith, daughter Diana Smith, son Ed Smith, grandchildren Trevor and wife Rachel Allen, Daniel Smith, Cody Smith, Aspen Smith, Megan Smith, and great granddaughter Charlotte Lee Allen.

A visitation for Kay will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A committal service will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road.
