She was born in Kilgore on May 17, 1951, and married Bill Burney on March 18, 1972. She was genuine, and famous for her tell-it-like-it-is attitude, only to be eclipsed by her caring and giving nature. She cherished all relationships in her life, finding laughter and joy in everyone and everything.
Judy, with her husband and brother, ran Al's Furniture, a successful family-owned business, started by her parents in 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Joyce Phillips; and her brother, Tony Phillips.
Survivors: Her husband of 43 years, Bill Burney; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Dean Webb of Burleson; son and son-in-law, Matthew Burney and David Wuensch of Houston; and grandchildren and the joys of her life, Bailey and Brandon Webb. Judy is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sharon Phillips; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Nancy Burney; and several nieces and nephews.
