Over the next 71 years and 4 months she would make her mark in the lives of those she loved and more than an occasional cat. At her birth her father Ben, an insurance salesman, was 43 years old and her mother Mary Naomi was 37.
Ben and Mary Naomi raised their family in Fort Worth, Texas. Mary Ellen was 17 years old when she got her new baby sister, Judy. The family was complete with two loving parents and 4 children: Mary Ellen, Edward Shannon, Benjamin Jr and Judy.
Judy deeply loved her family and she spent much of her adult life caring for each of them. Her parents and siblings all preceded her in death. Judy longed for the day where she would rejoin them and on August 10, 2022, she did just that.
Her first job was at Dunkin’ Donuts where she met Ronnie Dale White a customer who got more than a donut and cup of coffee. He found a wife. In 1969 Judy graduated from Pascal High School in Fort Worth and Ronnie and Judy married January 5, 1970.
Early in their marriage they traveled to Kansas and Virginia Beach as Ronnie was enlisted in the Army. Somehow, they knew their first born would be a boy and would write letters back and forth during Ronnie’s deployment to Korea talking about the soon to be Ronnie Jr.
Ronnie Jr was born in 1973 and his sister Mary Naomi Michelle in 1975. The family of four enjoyed vacations to Corpus Christi, Colorado and Ranger games.
Judy was a dedicated worker her entire life. She retired from the Department of Public Safety working in the driver’s license office. She also worked for Home Depot and the telephone company.
She loved collecting dolls, caring for cats and loving her family.
We are grateful that on her last full day, August 9, 2022 she saw both of her children who love her very much and will miss her dearly.
She had a deep faith in God and routinely talked about how she looked forward to her promotion to the next life. She did not fear death and in this we take comfort.
In her last months she mentioned how much she adored her parents. It is our wish that she also knows how much she was deeply adored by those who loved her.
We love you so much, mom. We will miss your tender heart.
