Juan "Ernie" Pena Jr.

He was a beloved father, son, brother, Godfather, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on October 16, 1973, in Harlingen, Texas, Juan “Ernie” Pena, Jr was the child of Juan Ernesto Pena, Sr, and Julia Pena. Ernie graduated from Dumas High School in 1992, where he earned numerous recognitions as a Dumas Demon football player, #30.

Ernie worked for Steven’s Trucking of El Reno, OK, as a Regional Dispatch Supervisor for many years and was a dedicated employee, loved by all who crossed his path. Those that knew Ernie, knew of his hard work ethic and the love of his family. We all knew of his passion for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns; but what he loved most was his children and family.

Juan “Ernie’ Pena, Jr is survived by his 4 children, Dallas Pena, Kylie Pena, Madeline Pena and Diego Pena all from Norman, OK., parents, Juan Ernesto Pena, Sr, of Crowley, Tx and Julia (Julio Mendez) Pena of Dumas, TX. Beloved partner, Desaray Ann Lang-McKeel, of Oklahoma City, OK, sisters, JoAnna (Eric Walker) Pena Diaz of Crowley, TX and DeAnna, (Jesus) Cantu of Ft Worth, TX, and brothers Javier (Robin) Pena of Dumas, TX, Julian (Valerie) Pena of Conroe, TX and Daniel Mendez of Dumas, TX. Many nieces and nephews and High School best friends, Los Vivos, all who will miss him dearly. Ernie is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Esteban, Eduvijes DelaFuente, paternal grandparents, Ernesto, Matilde Pena and many Tio’s, Tia’s and cousins.
