

FORT WORTH -- Joseph Brinton Harris Jr., 65, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on the morning of Monday, June 30, 2014.
Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Brint was born Sept. 3, 1948. He graduated from Polytechnic High School. He served in the Air Force for four years, part of which included time in Guam during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked at Lockheed Martin for 36 years until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Joseph Harris; and his only wife and the love of his life, Martha Kay Harris.
Survivors: To his children Benjamin Alan Harris and Laura Nicole Kauer, and his grandchildren, Andrew Kauer and Kaylin Kauer, he was Superman. He loved and was loved by everyone he encountered and would give you the shirt off of his back if he thought it would be of any help. To his sister, Joyce Krivanek, he was a dear friend and confidant. To his daughter-in-law, Melissa Harris and son-in-law, Benjamin Kauer, he was like a father from the day that he came into their lives. He will be dearly missed by all.
