It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Jose Temporal Bañez , who left us on November 18, 2024, at the age of 86. Our father was born in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan Valley, Philippines on March 21, 1938, to parents, Manuel Batoon Bañez Sr. and Romualda Temporal Bañez. He was surrounded at home by his son and close family in his final moments.
Preceded in death by his latest wife, Carmen Baldoza-Bañez; and his first wife, Antonietta Bañez.
Jose is survived by his son, Ramon Bañez and spouse Mary; daughter, Cristina Paredes and spouse Ben; stepdaughter, Veramarie Baldoza and spouse Todd Everard;
siblings and spouses: Conrado Banez and spouse Pamela, Dr. Brenda Narcelles-Banez, Luna Saxena, Manuel Jr Banez and spouse Marie and Adolfo Manlangit. Grandchildren: Desiree Banez, Dominique Paredes and spouse Maria Bazhlekova and Michael Paredes and fiance Jessyca Guzman. Great grandchildren, Elena and Valentina Paredes.
Our father, Jose, was a special, caring, and generous person. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom who cherished every moment he could with his loved ones. His daily passion was watching the local professional sports teams here in Dallas, Tx and his faith was bolstered by hearing mass on YouTube of, "Little Quiapo" and "Black Nazerene" of the Philippines. His unwavering spirit will forever be remembered. He achieved a CPA status during his life and has always shared his skills, knowledge, and faith with his family and friends. He was always joyful and willing to help others when they needed assistance. He showed great generosity with his giving of gifts in remembrance of anniversaries and birthdays. His biggest accomplishment was being able to publish, for his family and relatives, his autobiography. He also just recently completed his project given to him in a dream by the Blessed Virgin Mary by compiling the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in book form. Our father lived a very gracious, blessed, and God fearing Catholic life. He was also blessed to have been able to receive his Last Rites prior and Holy Communion on the day of his passing. He was ready to be received by our Lord who so lovingly embraced him. We will continue to celebrate his life and honor his legacy by living our lives to the fullest as he would have wanted everyone to do. We love you and will miss you dearly, Dad. May you rest in peace.
The family wishes to invite relatives and friends to a memorial service and a celebration of Jose's life on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10am to be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Tx.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
