Johnathan A. Slater

Johnathan Slater was born on December 3, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. Johnathan grew up in the Lake Como Community and attended Como Elementary, Como Jr. High and was a 1968 graduate of Como High School.

Johnathan met and married the love of his life, Michelle Wilson Slater on June 23, 1984. To this union, four children were born, Johnathan Jr., Clancy, Melissa and Jeffrey. Johnathan was employed with Neiman Marcus for more than 48 years. He served the Neiman Marcus department store until he retired in 2019. Johnathan was a faithful member over the years at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with family and friends and listening to his favorite artist Curtis Mayfield.

On November 29, 2021, Johnathan heard and answered to the Master's call from labor to reward. He has now joined his parents; his daughter Melissa Slater; Sue Mineweather and David Slater. Those who are left to cherish his precious memories are his wife Michelle Slater; children, Johnathan Slater, Jr., Clancy Slater and Jeffrey Slater; Lionel Reed, Billy Slater, Luther Mineweather, Jack Slater. Helen Slater and a host of other relatives and friends.
