A Visitation for John will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
John Phillip Anderson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the spring of 1928 to Hazel and Oliver W. Anderson. John graduated from West High School in 1947 before joining the Army during WWII.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and nephew; and is survived by his wife Velia of 38 years and countless Anderson and Farley family members across the nation.
John was a unique soul whose warmth was felt by everyone he crossed paths with. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, Abuelo and most of all husband. John was always ready to fix anything broken and quick-witted to tell a joke while doing so. He thought deeply about the world and believed that we could be the best versions ourselves.
John’s kind words and comforting laugh will be dearly missed by everyone lucky enough to call him a friend.
