Joe Morris West

Born December 7, 1944, who was preceded in death by his Mother Ola Joe West, Father Morris Shephard West, and Grandmother Ola Jane Fife.

“JM” as his family called him, was an inspiration to all persons with severe physical handicaps. He suffered major amputations of legs and hands over a period of 30+ plus years while continuing to work until retirement at age 66 and maintain a home.

JOE “JM” graduated from West Texas University and had a long-term career in the Aeronautics Business working at Vought, General Dynamics, Lockheed & retiring after 36 years from Lockheed Martin. His dedication to work and family & friends was exceptional.

He is survived by his Sister, Patricia West Steed Jackson, Two nephews Joe Scott Steed, John Christopher Steed and wife Hannah, 3 Great- Nephews Colton Scott Steed and wife Amanda, Cooper Wayne Steed, Logan Alexander Steed and Great-Niece Emma Scout Steed and Great-Great Nephews, Cashton, Jensen and Harrison. Lastly, friends which are too many to list who were very much part of his life.

Joe ”JM” will be missed on Earth by family and friends but is with the Lord and loved ones in pure everlasting life with no pain or handicaps.
