Jimmy was born on July 12, 1951 in Baytown, Texas to James Elmer and Dollie Richardson. He attended Crosbyton High School where he sat next to a girl in his English class he became infatuated with. He asked her for her name until she relented, “Eletia Griffin”, she told him. “My name is Jimmy DuWayne Richardson… that’s with a D. and a U.”, he proudly snapped back. Upon graduating High School in 1971, Jimmy served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He lost touch with the pretty girl from English class until later in life when chance brought them together again. He and Eletia were married on January 24, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jimmy loved his family very much and cared deeply for everyone he knew. He will be missed.
He was preceded in passing by his father, James Elmer Richardson; and brother, James “Smiley” Richardson.
