FORT WORTH -- Jessie Wanda Rice Snyder, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
Service: 3 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel.
Jessie was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Alvarado to Virgil Eugene and Beulah Ballard Allen. A caring homemaker, Jessie was also a longtime artisan of chocolate dipping at Pangburn's and The Sweet Shop before turning to a career in nursing.
Strong and loyal in spirit, Jessie was a devoted nurturer and fierce defender of those she loved.
Twice widowed, Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles Allen and Frankie Williams; first husband, Troy John Rice; and second husband, Jerry Asa Snyder.
Survivors: Sons, Danny Rice and John Michael Rice and his wife, Pam; brother, Vernon Allen; niece, Kelly Adams; and many more dear family and friends.
