Jesse Charles KEMP III, age 65, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away suddenly on Friday, September 11, 2020. Jesse was born May 24, 1955 to the Parents of Jesse Kemp, II and Nannie Wiley Kemp. He was the first of three sons. Jesse grew to become a phenomenal athlete. At Everman High School in the 1970's he earned 10 varsity letters, he lead the basketball team to back to back district championships while he was district MVP. Jesse was All State in track and Basketball and was one of the first metroplex athletes to play in The Texas High School All Star Game. Jesse was initially attended Northwestern State University on a basketball scholarship later transferring to UTA. He had a stellar college career because at his blazing speed and being a lefty he was difficult to guard and contain. After college Jesse worked in the oil finery industry later he worked as a contractor in the Afttermath of Hurrican Katrina and Hurrican Rita. Prior to his to retiring he worked in his family's business Kemp and Son's General Services. In his younger days he was an avid fisherman and loved going out on his boat. He loved to talk sports and debate who were better players of his era, the 70's or today's athletes. Survivors: wife, Gina McKissick Kemp; his mother, Nannie Kemp; step children; Tyineshia McKissick, Chris Hardy, Lawrencia Scurlock and Naomi Hardy; brothers, Larry Kemp and Keith Kemp (Tamara); 7 step-grandchildren and a host of former team mates, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
