Jerry Miller

Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Home.

Jerry served our country as a military policeman in the Army for 2 1/2 years. He was very active in the Gideons International, as well as being an ordained minister, pastoring at Calvary Baptist Church, and was also a deacon at North Park Baptist Church. Jerry retired after 15 years from Ben E. Keith, then working for Morrisey-Stringer Co. for several years. Most of all he loved his family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Dee Miller and Manecia Rebecca Miller; stepmother, Lois Miller; brother, Johnnie Gene Miller.

Survivors: wife, Paula Miller; sons, James Miller and wife, Valentina, and Jason Miller and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Lauren, Jarod, Justice, Melena, Jake and Jessie; brother, Jimmie Joe Miller and wife, Geraldine; and sister-in-law, Janie Smith.
