Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Worth Baptist Church with Willie Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
Jennie was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Lowell and Billie Kuykendall on September 25, 1947. She attended Poly Technical High School in Fort Worth and continued her studies at Arlington Baptist College. On December 22, 1966, she married her soulmate, Frank Spann Sr. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Frank and Shelley Spann. Jennie’s professional career flourished while working for Allied Financial Service, focusing her talents within the accounting department.
Jennie was a faithful servant to Worth Baptist Church for over 40 years and was involved in many different ministries. She loved to play games and dominoes with her friends, also known as the Fun Pack. She enjoyed shopping, going to the movies and listening to music. She poured her love and soul into her family. To most, she was known as Jennie, but her family knew her as Grandmommy.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Billie Kuykendall.
Jennie is survived by the love of her life for 57 years Frank Spann Sr., son Frank Spann Jr. (Tameko), daughter Shelley Glenney (Chris) Sister-in law Elaine Brown (Jimmy). 5 Grandchildren; Melondy Munoz (Rolando), Chastity Irwin (Zack), Channing Spann (Todd), Tanner Glenney, and Brighton Story, 6 beautiful great-grandchildren and an array of friends and family.
Pallbearers will be Richard Creed, Gary Braudaway, Todd Glenney, Tom Harvey, Tony Sengmeny and Earl Sides.
Memorial can made to Community Hospice House.
