Jeffery Dean Gosdin

A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, located at 7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.

Dean was born in Plainview, Texas to Leroy Frank and Mary Jo Killian Gosdin on April 17, 1956. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1974 and attended Texas Tech University. Dean then worked for Wolfe nursery in Lubbock, TX and Marshall Grain Company in Fort Worth, TX

Dean was an actor and had supporting roles in several films and community theater productions throughout his life. Dean also sang in the FUMC choir and played "a little guitar" as he put it. He was an avid gardener and maintained vegetable gardens. Also, Dean enjoyed riding his horses, hunting, and fishing, and loved the outdoors. He was feeding his horses when the Lord called him home.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Dan Gosdin.

He is survived by his brothers Richard Gosdin and wife Sherry of Celina, Texas, David Gosdin and wife Pete of Denton, Texas; nieces Shala Coke and husband Jason of Celina, Texas, Melissa Baker and husband Rob of Grapevine, Texas, Amy Gosdin Dallas, Texas, nephews Jeff Gosdin and wife Christi of Prosper, Texas, Jerrod Gosdin, and wife Jessie of Tyler, Texas, Matthew Gosdin, and wife Sarah of McKinney Texas, thirteen great nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces and a nephew.

Dean will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
