Jeanne Irene Ackermann

Jeanne I. Ackermann, 73, of Colleyville, TX, passed away December 23, 2021 in her home after a long illness. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday January 5, 2022, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.

Jeanne was born February 14, 1948, in Hanau, Germany. She emigrated to the United States as a child, and as the daughter of an army sergeant, grew up in numerous places in America, finally landing in San Antonio, Texas as a teen. She married young and graduated in 1975 from North Texas State University (UNT) with a B.S. in Psychology. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She loved to garden, cook, watch movies, read, and enjoy her music collection.

She is survived by her husband Harvey Ackermann; daughters Desireé Hershon and partner Michael Shur, and Stephanie Quinn and husband Michael; son Michael Ackermann and wife Terri; grandchildren Devon Ackermann, William Ackermann, Lexi Quinn, McKenna Quinn, and Hunter Quinn.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents James and Maria Lawrence, and her sister Linda Lawrence.
