The Viewing will be held from 4pm – 6pm, Friday July 31, 2020 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with Rosary at 6:30pm. Due to health precautions during this pandemic the Rosary will be limited to immediate family to ensure social distancing is implemented. Face coverings are required.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm, Saturday, August 1, 2020 at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas. Mass is open to family and friends; social distancing will be implemented.
Janie Sanchez was born in Tahoka, Texas on May 13, 1952. She was married to Bernardo Sanchez on September 23, 1995, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a devoted and amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Janie enjoyed attending Mass and activities at St. Patrick Cathedral, watching the Cowboys (win or lose), outdoor gardening, shopping, visiting with friends and family, walking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardo Sanchez; her parents, Esiquio and Catharina Banda.
She is survived by her children, Sally Jolley, Patricia Nichols, Robert Salazar (Brook), Ricky Sanchez, Cynthia Flores (Rey) and Victor Sanchez. Sanchez; siblings, Junior Banda (Lola), Jesse Banda (Janie), Elvira Labrada (Miguel), Genaro Banda, Noni Gutierrez, Lupe Moreno, and Mary Banda; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers are: Travis Rocha, Aaron White, Lucas Salazar, Robert Salazar, Ricky Sanchez
and Mike Burris.
