James Wilson was born on December 27, 1931 in Buckner, Arkansas. He met and married the “Love of his Life”, Versie Wilson on April 5, 1951 in Texarkana, Arkansas. They traveled the world together when he enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 21 years. He retired from the Army and ventured on to being a truck driver which once again took him all across the U.S. Driving trucks became a passion for him and while on the road he acquired the CB radio name “Double Deuce”. When his wife became ill he then started driving locally until he fully retired to care for her.
On Friday, August 28, 2020, James gained his wings. He was preceded in death by his wife Versie Wilson; his mother Lilliedale Brown; his father Robert Lee Wilson; his brother Robert Wilson, Jr. and sister Gussie Mae.
