Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army of Arlington. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
James was born July 28, 1924, to John and Susie Ward Sharp in Mount Calm. He served in the Navy during World War II. James started his career as an electrician in Lubbock and later became the business manager for the local branch of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers there. He retired from the international office of the IBEW in Washington, D.C. He was also a soldier of the Salvation Army of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sharp, and son, James C. Sharp Jr.
