Jack T. Bankhead

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church. Interment: Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery in Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.

Jack was born August 16, 1935, to Charlie and Irma Bankhead and graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School. He worked for Dannon Co. for over 45 years. Jack began preaching in 1957. He served as the senior pastor for Friendship Freewill Baptist Church for over 40 years. He loved to preach and spread the ministry. Jack was also an avid guitar player and spent time every week at Lone Star Bar-B-Que, playing with friends. He was a loving husband, father, papaw and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; a daughter, Brenda Arnold; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors: Daughters, Darlene Jolly and husband, Russell, and Nancy Copeland; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Kenneth Bankhead; and many nieces and nephews.
