Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Smithfield Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lena Inez Simmons was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Oklaunion to Robert Henry Mitchell
and Della Fae Woolsey Mitchell. Inez was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family and
taught them to give and receive love unconditionally. She enjoyed reading
and spending time in her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and husband,
James Simmons.
Survivors: Daughters, Linda and husband, John Erie, Donna and husband, Terry
Stevens, and Marianne and husband, Loren Schooley; grandchildren,
Eben Stevens, Elizabeth Milam, Rewa Luly, Stephanie Duncan, Milissa Berry, Taryn
Stevens, Ginny Erie, Clint Lilly and Chance Stevens; eight great-
grandchildren, who were the light of her life; brother, Gene Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Mary Gale.
