Ila was born on October 27, 1930, to Adolph and Clara (Wieters) Wiechman in Barnes, KS. She had one sister and five brothers whom she dearly loved. She met the love of her life, Albert G. Reinhardt, when they were 13 years old, and they married fourteen years later on June 30, 1957.
After High School, Ila worked as a bookkeeper for Kansas Power & Light, until she married Al and they moved to Enid, OK, where she worked at various jobs as a bookkeeper and care giver. In 1971 they moved to Houston, TX. where she worked in the school system until they moved to Fort Worth, TX. in 1983. She loved to volunteer at church as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, cooking for Vacation Bible School, altar guild, LWML, and in many other areas where she was called to serve. Because of her extremely loving and caring nature, her specialty was hospital visitations and visiting shut ins. Her love for God also called her to the Lutheran Braille Workers where she volunteered for over 30 years making various books of the bible for people around the world in need of a Braille bible. Throughout her life she was involved with sports. She loved playing softball and won multiple state championships with her bowling team. She loved baseball and was a dedicated fan of her beloved Houston Astros. Go ‘Stros
