Helen was born in East Texas on Jan. 19, 1925. She retired from Texas Refinery at the age of 86 after 37-plus years of service, in January 2011. Helen will be remembered for her great love and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ, and her generous spirit. She left no stone unturned with her giving to many charitable organizations. We cannot leave out her competitive nature. Helen was an avid wild card canasta and chicken foot player. If you were her partner you had better not cause her to lose and if you were her opponent you had better not beat her. And please, never say a negative comment about the Dallas Cowboys or the Texas Rangers.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and the chaplain of Covenant Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and love.
