FORT WORTH -- Gene Wenger, 66, beloved husband, dad, pawpaw, uncle and encourager to everyone he met, left us Friday, April 18, 2014.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Hills Church of Christ. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
He was born to Ivan H. and Nora N. Weaver Wenger on June 17, 1947. His spirit of tenaciousness was evident from the beginning, as he was born prematurely and even his grandmother was not sure he would survive. He exhibited that same tenaciousness 66 years later in his battle to remain with us.
He was grieved by the loss of his parents and three of his siblings, Ray, Ella Nora and Esther.
