On January 12, 1951, Freeman and Bessie Burton welcomed into the world their first child, Freeman Burton, Jr. Freeman grew up and attended the Como High School and graduated with the Class of 1969. After graduation, Freeman attended college and received several certificates.
Freeman served and dedicated many years of his life in the United States Army. He also worked for Lockheed Martin and retired after 30 years as a Machine Parts Composite. Freeman loved welding, gourmet cooking and loved to restore old cars. There was nothing to hard or difficult that he wouldn't try.
On Thursday, February 25, 2021, Freeman heard and answered to the Master's call from labor to reward. He is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Bessie Burton. Those left to cherish his precious memorial are his children, Andre Burton and Danielle Burton; sisters, Sandra Taylor and Lois A. Burton of Houston, Texas; brother, Timothy Burton; granddaughter, Gianna Bourens and a host of other relatives and friends.
