Florence, known to her friends and family as Flo or Nannie, was a proud great-grandmother, caring grandmother, loving mother, and loyal friend. For almost three decades she worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart, and had many customers who came to the store to shop and just say ‘Hello’. She always enjoyed dancing and in her later years she was part of a square dancing group with friends.
Flo was married to Bobby Ray Arrington for 27 years; the two met at a dance in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Arrington was a career military man who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After living all over the United States including, Illinois, Kentucky and California, the Arrington’s retired in Fort Worth in 1969. Flo loved to collect commemorative plates from all the places she visited and this became a tradition for her family to continue through their travels. She also loved refrigerator magnets and each was strategically arranged on any metal surface in her kitchen.
Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Arrington.
Survivors: Son, Michael Arrington and wife Renee Arrington; Daughter, Linda Minnick and husband Royce Minnick; Granddaughter, Laine Russell and husband Jeffery Russell and great granddaughter Skylar Alina Russell; nephews and nieces including Martha and her husband Gary.
